Volkswagen Launches Passat TSI & Jetta CRDE Luxury Sedan Cars in India

Volkswagen, Europe's largest car maker announced the launch of the Passat TSI and Jetta common rail diesel engine today.

The Passat 1.8 L TSI is priced at Rs. 19.20 lakhs, ex showroom New Delhi. The Jetta 2.0 L diesel Comfortline is priced at Rs. 15.92 lakhs. ex showroom, New Delhi.

The Passat will now come with the world renowned TSI Petrol Engine. This engine from Volkswagen is known for Maximum power with minimum fuel consumption. It’s a pioneering technology for Petrol engines.TSI engines are compact, high-powered and use less fuel thereby offering an enjoyable and involving drive, while cutting fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

Commenting on the launch of Passat & Jetta, Mr. Neeraj Garg, Member of Board and Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt. 2010 Venom GT Hennessey Supercar Concept

Hennessey Performance Engineering today announced that it is introducing the company's first concept car - The Venom GT. Penned by British auto designer, Steve Everitt, the Venom GT would incorporate Hennessey's potent Venom 1000 Twin Turbo Viper V10 powerplant into a light weight mid-engine chassis weighing "under 2,700 lbs". Power would be run through a 6-speed transmission or optional sequential gearbox. With a power to weight ratio of just 2.7 lbs per bhp Hennessey estimates that the Venom GT could attain 0 to 100 km/h times in less than 2.5 sec. and a 0-300 km/h time of around 14 seconds.

The Hennessey Venom GT weights less than 2,400 lbs (1,071 Kg) and to stop the Venom GT, Hennessey added Brembo brakes with 6-piston calipers up front and 4-piston calipers in rear clamping down on 15-inch carbon ceramic rotors. Hennessey plans on building 10 units of the Venom GT annually and four have already been sold at around $600,000 a pop. That means there are only six units left from the first allocation.

SEALY, TEXAS & SILVERSTONE, ENGLAND, March 29, 2010 - Hennessey Performance is pleased to introduce the first official images of its Venom GT supercar. Based upon the Lotus Elise, the Venom GT combines a high-tech, lightweight British chassis with a powerful American V8.

“This is not the first time that Britain and America have joined forces to produce a weapon of mass propulsion”, said company founder and president, John Hennessey. “Over fifty years ago the American-built P-51 Mustang fighter aircraft was flown into history powered by a British Rolls-Royce Merlin engine. Today the Hennessey Venom GT promises to set a new standard of power to weight ratio in the rarefied air of today's supercar market.”

In the case of the Venom GT, less weight means more performance. The Venom GT will have a production curb weight of less than 2,400 lbs (1,071 kilos) aided by its lightweight carbon fiber bodywork and carbon fiber wheels. Stopping power is delivered via Brembo brakes with 6-piston calipers up front and 4-piston calipers in rear clamping down on 15-inch carbon ceramic rotors.

The Venom GT’s base power plant is the supercharged 6.2 liter LS9 V8 (the same as in the Corvette ZR1) tweaked by Hennessey to 725 bhp. The company will also be offering 1000 bhp and 1200 bhp twin turbo V8 engine variants. The mid-engine V8 will transmit its power to the rear tires via a Ricardo 6-speed gearbox.

Hennessey plans to manage power output by using a programmable traction control system. CFD (computational fluid dynamic) tested bodywork and down force will also help keep the Venom stable at speed. An active aero system with adjustable rear wing will deploy under varying conditions on both the road and racetrack. An adjustable suspension system will allow ride height adjustments according to speed and driving conditions. Finally, power will be put to the ground via massive Michelin PS2 tires.

Hennessey will be building the power plants at its Texas facility. The engines will then be air freighted to the company's assembly facility near Silverstone, England where the Venom GT is built and tested. Venom GT buyer will be offered a 1-day driver orientation and instruction program by a Hennessey factory test driver, at a track in the UK or USA prior to delivery.

Hennessey plans on building 10 units of the Venom GT annually and four have already been sold at around $600,000 a pop. That means there are only six units left from the first allocation. The company plans to establish a network of Venom GT dealers and distributors in the Middle East, Europe, Russia, Australia and Asia.

TVS Apache RTR 250 Launching Soon Price, Features

After the great success of Apache RTR 160 & 180 models, TVS India now greatly on its way to to introduce another variant of Apache RTR with a 250cc engine. The all new TVS Apache RTR 250 is expected to hit Indian roads by April/May 2010 with an expected price of about Rs. 1,10,000 (may vary). The official announcement is yet to be made.

The all new Apache RTR 250 comes powered with 250cc Single Cylinder, 4 Stroke engine output a maximum power that close to 30bhp with a peak torque of 22Nm.The engine of TVS Apache RTR 250 will be mated to a six speed gearbox, 1-down, 5-up pattern.The front suspension will consist of telescopic forks whereas the rear suspension will be of monoshock, rectangular swingarm type.

About design and styling the new TVS Apache RTR 250 is expected to be the first TVS bike to come up with full fairing like we have seen in the Yamaha R15 & Hero Honda Karizma ZMR.From the images that are revealed it can be noted that the rear view mirrors will be mounted on the front fairing.

For safety measures TVS Apache RTR 250 features ABS settings.Brakes of Apache RTR 250 will be a 290mm disc at the front and the rear will be of 220mm disc. The bike will have 6 spoke alloy wheels with the front tire of 100/80 x 17 size and the rear tire of 130/70 x 17.The bike weighs around 140 kgs and the top speed is expected to be in the ranges of 150-160 kmph.

The new Apache RTR 250 is launched to compete with the likes of Yamaha R15, Hero Honda Karizma ZMR & Bajaj Pulsar 220.

การฝึกซ้อมอย่างเป็นทางการครั้งสุดท้ายของบรรดานักแข่งในรุ่นโมโต 2 ได้เสร็จสิ้นลงไปเมื่อช่วงบ่ายวันจันทร์ที่ผ่านมา เจ้าฟีม รัฐภาคย์ วิไลโรจน์ นักแข่งรถจักรยานยนต์ทางเรียบชิงแชมป์โลก หนึ่งเดียวของไทย ซื้อตั๋วไปทันซ้อมอย่างชนิดใจหายใจคว่ำ เมื่อต้นสังกัดไม่สามารถบรรลุข้อตกลงเกี่ยวกับตัวถัง (Frame) ที่จะใช้ชิงชัยในปีนี้ รวมทั้งสปอนเซอร์บางรายที่ยังไม่พร้อมเข้าสนับสนุน ทำให้เกิดการล่าช้าไปทุกขั้นตอน

แต่อย่างไรก็ดี เจ้าฟีมก็ได้บินไปร่วมฝึกซ้อมกับเพื่อนๆในรุ่นนี้ ที่มีทั้งเพื่อนเก่าและใหม่รวมแล้ว 40 ชีวิต นับว่าเป็นการแข่งขันที่มีประชากรมากที่สุด ทำให้นึกถึงเหตุการณ์ในอดีตที่ในรุ่น GP125 มีรถมากถึง 44 คัน โดยการฝึกซ้อมในรุ่นนี้ได้ทำการฝึกซ้อมไปแล้วทั้ง 3 สนาม (เฮเรซ, คาตาลุนย่าและบาเลนเซีย) ตั้งแต่ต้นปีที่ผ่านมา

สรุปสุดท้ายทีมงานแซ๊กได้เลือกใช้บริการตัวถังของ Bimota รุ่น HB4 (Honda-Bimota version4) โดยทีมงาน Bimota ได้ทำการพัฒนามาจนถึงแบบที่ 4 แต่ยังไม่มีนักแข่งในโมโต2 รายใดได้เคยขับขี่ และในการแข่งขันปีนี้ก็จะมีเพียง 2 คนที่จะใช้ตัวถัง HB4 คือ รัฐภาคย์วิไลโรจน์กับเบอนาด มาติเนซ เพื่อนร่วมทีมแซ๊ก

ภาพอากาศที่ประเทศเสปนในช่วงนี้ยังคงหนาวเย็น โดยวันที่เริ่มซ้อมวันแรก อากาศเย็นสบาย แต่ทีมงานไทยฮอนด้า พีทีที สิงห์ แซก กับไม่สบายเหมือนอากาศ เพราะรถที่ยังไม่พร้อมสมบูรณ์ เนื่องจากเพิ่งจะได้รับตัวถังมาเมื่อช่วงกลางเดือนนี้เอง เจ้าฟีมต้องเข้าๆออกพิทเพื่อแก้ปัญหาที่มีอยู่แทบทุกจุด วัดรอบไม่ขึ้น ตัวบันทึกข้อมูลไม่อ่าน ช๊อคอัพหลังยังไม่เสร็จ ช๊อคอัพหน้านิ่มไป และอีกสารพัดที่ต้องจัดการ วันแรกจึงวิ่งไปเพียง 44 รอบในขณะที่เพื่อนๆ ร่วมการแข่งขันฝึกซ้อมกันอย่างสุกสนาน บางคนวิ่งเกือบร้อยรอบ ผู้ที่เร็วที่สุดในวันนี้เป็น #24 โทนี่ อิไลอัส นักแข่งที่ลงมาจากรุ่นโมโตจีพี ทำเวลาที่ 1'44.077 ในขณะที่ฟีมทำได้เพียง 1'46.454 และมาดีขึ้นในช่วงบ่ายที่ 1'45.981

"หยุดขี่ไปนาน แม้ว่าจะได้ขี่ในเมืองไทยมาพอประมาณ แต่ก็ไม่เหมือนกัน ทั้งสภาพสนาม ความเร็ว รวมทั้งสภาพกาศ วันนี้ต้องปรับหลายจุด ทำให้ขี่ได้น้อยกว่าที่ควรจะเป็นครับ"

การซ้อมในวันที่สอง สภาพอากาศยังคงเป็นไปอย่างสบาย ทีมงานแซ๊กได้แก้ไขข้อบกพร่องในหลายจุด ทำให้วันนี้เจ้าฟีมได้ขับขี่มากรอบขึ้น และสามารถกดคันเร่งทำเวลาได้ดีขึ้นในทุกจุด เป็นรองหัวแถวอย่าง #72ยูกิ ทาคาฮาชิในแต่ช่วงเพียงเล็กน้อย จากอากาศที่เย็นลงกว่าเมื่อวานเล็กน้อย ทำให้ยูกิ ทำเวลาได้เพียง 1'44.552 ช้ากว่าเมื่อวานราวครึ่งวินาที อิไลอัสเองก็ช้าลง 1'44.844 คือเวลาที่เต็งหนึ่งอย่างอิไลอัสทำได้ เจ้าฟีมขยับดีขึ้นอย่างเห็นได้ชัด 1'45.463 ช้ากว่ายูกิไม่ถึงวินาที

"ทดลองหลายอย่างมากครับ แต่ก็ดีขึ้น ขี่ง่าย เลี้ยวง่าย แต่ดูเหมือนว่า HB4 จะหนักกว่า Suter ที่เคยขี่เมื่อปลายปีแล้วนิดหน่อย ช๊อคอัพหน้ายังนิ่มไปนิด สปริงที่เตรียมมาไม่พอกับความแรงและน้ำหนักของรถที่มากขึ้น หลัง OK เบรกก็ดี มีท่านั่งที่ยังอึดอัดไปนิด ทีมงานรับปากว่าจะขยับขยายให้ แล้วก็มีอัตราเร่งที่ยังไม่ทัน Moriwaki โดยรวมพอใจมากครับ"

วันสุดท้ายของการทดสอบ ช่วงเช้าอากาศดี แต่ช่วงบ่ายฝนตก มีนักแข่งพลาดล้มไปหลายคัน ที่หนักที่สุดคือเต็งหนึ่งอย่างอิไลอัส ถึงขั้นกระดูกมือและเท้าแตก ฟีมเองก็ขี่แบบเซฟในช่วงเช้า ก็มี #71 คลาอูดิโอ้ คอรติที่เร็วสุด 1'44.044 อิไลอัสก่อนล้ม 1'44.263 ฟีมทำได้เพียง 1'46.014 ช้ากว่าคอรติ 2 วินาที
ผลการซ้อมทั้งสามวัน

หลังการซ้อมเสร็จสิ้น ทุกทีมต้องถอดเครื่องยนต์คืนให้กับผู้จัดฯเพื่อที่จะได้นำกลับไปปรับสภาพให้ใหม่เหมือนเดิม จากนั้นก็เก็บรถแข่งและอุปกรณ์ลงลังเพื่อส่งไปยังประเทศการ์ต้า

"คู่แข่งปีนี้ไม่น่ากลัวมากนัก เป็นห่วงแต่เรื่องรถ เพราะเรามีเวลาน้อยกว่าทีมอื่น และยังต้องแก้ไขอีกหลายจุด เรื่องแฟริ่งที่ใหญ่ไปหน่อย โดยทีมงานได้ทดลองตัดแต่งก็ดีขึ้น และรับปากว่าจะออกแบบใหม่ให้ทันการแข่งสนามแรกที่การ์ต้า คู่แข่งที่ดูดีก็มี #24 อิไลอัสกับ #15 ดิ แองเจิลลิส สองคนนี้ปรับรถเร็ว คนอื่นๆ ก็พอได้ ยังมีจากรุ่นเล็กก็เก่งใช้ได้ แต่อย่างไรฟีมไม่ยอมอยู่แล้วครับ"

โดยรวมเป็นที่น่าพอใจกับเวลาที่มีให้เพียง 3 วัน หลังจากนี้การบ้านใหญ่ตกหนักที่ทีมงานแซ๊กและ Bimota ที่จะต้องปรับ HB4 ให้อยู่มือภายในเวลาไม่ถึง 10 วันนับจากนี้

การแข่งขันสนามแรกเป็นการแข่งขันในเวลากลางคืนเหมือนเช่นปีที่ผ่านมาที่สนามโลไซอัล เมืองโดฮา ประเทศการ์ต้าในระหว่างวันที่ 9-11 เมษายน 2553 ที่จะถึงนี้ครับ

นายธนชาต ธนาดำรงศักดิ์ กรรมการผู้จัดการ บริษัท เอ็ม ไบค์ มอเตอร์เซลส์ จำกัด ผู้นำเข้า และจัดจำหน่ายรถจักรยานยนต์เอสวายเอ็ม (SYM-Taiwan’s Sangyang Motor) จากไต้หวัน เปิดเผยว่า บริษัทได้เปิดตัวรถจักรยานยนต์ ใหม่ 5 รุ่นได้แก่ BONUS X110 cc Fiddle II 125 cc Orbit 125cc 50 cc RADAR X 125 cc และ Symphony 125 s ซึ่งจักรยานยนต์เอสวายเอ็ม เป็นรถจักรยานยนต์ยี่ห้อใหม่ ที่เน้นเรื่องคุณภาพสูงกว่ารถจักรยานยนต์จากจีน ในราคาจำหน่ายที่ต่ำกว่า
บริษัทมีเป้าหมายการจำหน่าย ในปีแรก 6,000 คันต่อปี จากเครือข่ายดีลเลอร์ 50 แห่ง และในอนาคตคาดว่าจะทำยอดขาย 12,000 คันต่อปี เมื่อมีดีลเลอร์ครบ 100 แห่ง ทั้งนี้ บริษัทมีเป้าหมายที่จะเป็นอันดับหนึ่งของเซ็กเมนท์ รถอื่นๆ ที่ไม่ใช่รถญี่ปุ่น (Non-Japanese Brand) หรือมียอดขายที่ประมาณ 20,000 คันต่อปี ในอนาคต
นายธนชาต กล่าวต่อไปว่า เอสวายเอ็มเหมาะสมกับไลฟ์สไตล์ของคนไทยที่ชื่นชอบแฟชั่น ความแปลกใหม่ และมีความต้องการรถจักรยานยนต์คุณภาพ ที่สามารถใช้งานได้อย่างคุ้มค่าในภาวะเศรษฐกิจที่น้ำมันมีราคาแพง สำหรับกลุ่มเป้าหมายหลัก คือ กลุ่มลูกค้าที่ใช้รถในชีวิตประจำวัน อาทิเช่น นักศึกษา และวินมอเตอร์ไซค์ ผู้ที่ต้องการรถไว้ใช้เฉพาะในช่วงวันหยุด เพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกสำหรับการเดินทางในระยะทางใกล้ๆ ที่สำคัญ คือ กลุ่มผู้บริโภคที่ต้องการรถจักรยานยนต์ที่มีคุณภาพมาตรฐาน ในราคาที่ต่ำกว่า

นายธนชาต กล่าวต่อว่า บริษัทจะมุ่งเน้นการสร้างตลาดและการกระจายสินค้าผ่านตัวแทนจำหน่าย การกระตุ้นให้กลุ่มเป้าหมายได้มีการทดลองใช้รถ นอกจากนี้ ยังให้ความสำคัญกับการจำหน่ายผ่านไปยังกลุ่มเกษตรกร และสหกรณ์ต่างๆ เพื่อเข้าถึงกลุ่มเป้าหมายที่ต้องการสินค้าคุณภาพ ในราคาสมเหตุสมผลอย่างแท้จริงปัจจุบัน บริษัทมีดีลเลอร์จำนวน 50 แห่ง ในอนาคตคาดว่าจะเพิ่มเป็น 100 แห่ง

"กิจกรรมส่งเสริมการขายเพื่อกระตุ้นตลาด แนะนำแบรนด์เอสวายเอ็ม ให้เป็นที่รู้จักนั้นจะเริ่มจากการเปิดตัวรถรุ่นใหม่ เพื่อสร้างการรู้จักรับรู้ในแบรนด์ สู่กลุ่มเป้าหมายอย่างเป็นทางการ พร้อมจัดแคมเปญ ข้อเสนอพิเศษ อำนวยความสะดวกเรื่องการจัดไฟแนนซ์ เพื่อกระตุ้นการซื้อ โดยเฉพาะในต่างจังหวัด จะให้ความสำคัญกับสื่อต่างๆ ตลอดจนการเข้าไปจัดกิจกรรมต่างๆ เพื่อเข้าถึงกลุ่มเป้าหมายในสังคมต่างจังหวัดอย่างครอบคลุม" นายธนชาตกล่าว

ทั้งนี้ ความต้องการของตลาดรถจักรยานยนต์เมืองไทย ยังคงเติบโตต่อเนื่องโดย 2 เดือนแรกของปีนี้ มียอดขาย รวม 296,995 คัน เติบโต 133% และคาดว่าในสิ้นปีตลาดรวมจะมียอด 1.68 ล้านคัน

พาณิชย์ยื่นฟ้องเอ.พี.ฮอนด้าพฤติกรรมค้าไม่เป็นธรรม

รมว.พาณิชย์ เห็นชอบให้อัยการยื่นฟ้อง บริษัท เอ.พี.ฮอนด้า คดีตัวอย่างข้อหามีพฤติกรรมเข้าข่ายแข่งขันการค้าไม่เป็นธรรมจนกระทบต่อธุรกิจเดียวกัน

ที่ประชุมคณะกรรมการแข่งขันทางการค้า ซึ่งมีนางพรทิวา นาคาศัย รมว.พาณิชย์ เป็นประธาน เห็นชอบให้กรมการค้าภายในส่งเรื่องให้อัยการยื่นฟ้องบริษัท เอ.พี.ฮอนด้า เป็นคดีตัวอย่างข้อหามีพฤติกรรมเข้าข่ายแข่งขันการค้าไม่เป็นธรรม หลังพิจารณายืดเยื้อมานานกว่า 9 ปี

นายยรรยง พวงราช ปลัดกระทรวงพาณิชย์ กล่าวว่า ที่ประชุมฯเห็นชอบให้กรมการค้าภายในส่งอัยการฟ้องร้องบริษัท เอ.พี.ฮอนด้า จำกัด ตามข้อสรุป และข้อเสนอของคณะอนุกรรมการสอบสวนการร้องเรียนฯ เนื่องจากบริษัท เอ.พี.ฮอนด้า จำกัด มีพฤติกรรมเข้าข่ายแข่งขันทางการค้าไม่เป็นธรรม จนกระทบต่อธุรกิจลักษณะเดียวกัน

โดยบริษัทฯ ได้ใช้อำนาจเหนือตลาดห้ามตัวแทนจำหน่าย(เอเย่นต์) ขายรถจักรยานยนต์ของบริษัทคู่แข่ง ซึ่งมีการร้องเรียนมาตั้งแต่ปี 2544 และถือเป็นการทำผิดตามมาตรา 29 พ.ร.บ.การแข่งขันทางการค้า พ.ศ.2542 ที่มีโทษปรับไม่เกิน 6 ล้านบาท หรือจำคุกไม่เกิน 3 ปี หรือทั้งจำทั้งปรับ

"ถือเป็นกรณีแรกที่มีการฟ้องเอาผิดตามกฎหมายแข่งขันทางการค้า โดยเป็นการสอบสวนไปตามขบวนการที่พิจารณาจากข้อเท็จจริงจากพยาน 23 ปาก และหลักฐานกว่า 2,000 หน้า ประชุมกันถึง 12 ครั้ง ก็พบว่ามีการกระทำที่ไม่ใช่การแข่งขันที่เป็นธรรมจนก่อให้เกิดความเสียหายต่อธุรกิจรายอื่นที่มีลักษณะแบบเดียวกัน" นายยรรยง กล่าว

สำหรับการประชุมครั้งนี้สามารถพิจารณากรณีบริษัท เอ.พี.ฮอนด้า ได้เพียงเรื่องเดียว ส่วนกรณีอื่นๆ นั้นที่ประชุมฯ จะมีการพิจารณาในการประชุมครั้งต่อไป โดยมีการพิจารณาแต่งตั้งคณะอนุกรรมการสอบสวนอีก 3 เรื่องที่ร้องเรียนเข้ามา คือ การขายเหล้าพ่วงเบียร์, การกีดกันทางการค้าในธุรกิจสื่อสิ่งพิมพ์ และขายข้าวถุงต่ำกว่าทุน

BMW engineers are conducting tests 6 Series Coupé with real caution, to date we have only seen spy photos of the 6 Series Convertible and no sign of the Coupé version, but here's the first.

If we compare carefully the exterior design of the front of the convertible version of the Coupé appreciate differences in the rear side window, some obvious changes in hand knowing that one of them will be convertible. The other notable change is at the back where it seems that has already begun installing the exhaust system and light clusters that have the model when it goes on sale.

The top model will remain the M6, that instead of the V10 has today incorporate a twin-turbo V8, the same used by the X5 M and X6 M with a power exceeding 550 hp.

2011 Nex-Gen BMW Sports Sedan 3 Series Coupe And Convertible

A little after a leaked brochure gave us our first taste of the lightly refreshed 2011 3-Series Coupe and Convertible models, BMW rushed out an official release and a whole bunch of pictures. For the 2011 model year, the Bavarian automaker's bread-and-butter coupe and cabriolet models receive some minor cosmetic touches and updated powerplants.
